چکیده

Sato, Ichiei (School of Medicine, Gunma University, Maebashi, Japan), Tokumitsu Tanaka, Kazuko Saito, and Susumu Mitsuhashi. Inhibition of Salmonella enteritidis ingested in mononuclear phagocytes from liver and subcutaneous tissue of mice immunized with live vaccine. J. Bacteriol. 83:1306-1312. 1962.-In our earlier studies it was shown that mice hyperimmunized with live vaccine of Salmonella enteritidis resisted intravenous challenge with 1,000 MLD of virulent strain 116-54 of S. enteritidis. Survivors of this challenge completely resisted additional intravenous challenge with 10,000 MLD of the same organism. Mononuclear phagocytes obtained from the abdominal cavity of mice immunized with live vaccine of S. enteritidis inhibited intracellular multiplication of virulent strain 116-54, regardless of the presence of antibody in the cell-culture medium. In the present study, mononuclear phagocytes were obtained in a nearly pure state from liver or subcutaneous tissue of mice and were maintained in vitro in good condition. These cells also resisted cellular degeneration caused by intracellular existence of virulent strain 116-54, regardless of the presence of antibody in the cell-culture medium. In contrast, cells obtained from normal mice or mice immunized with dead vaccine were subject to degeneration.

Immunoprotectivity of Salmonella enterica serovar Enteritidis virulence protein, InvH, against Salmonella typhi

Objective(s):Typhoid fever is a dreadful disease of a major threat to public health in developing countries. Vaccination with bacterial immunodominant components such as surface proteins may prove as a potent alternative to live attenuated vaccines. InvH, an important part of needle complex in type three secretion system (TTSS) plays important role in efficient bacterial adherence and entry int...

Salmonella enterica serovar Enteritidis live vaccine strain in the reproductive organs of laying goose after subcutaneous vaccination

Serovar-specific real-time PCR for Salmonella enterica serovar Enteritidis (S. Enteritidis) was conductedto detect the genomic DNA of S. Enteritidis from laying goose after subcutaneous vaccination at differenttime points. Indirect fluorescent antibody (IFA) technique and immunohistochemical localization wereemployed to validate the results. The results showed that S. Enteritidis was consistent...

Cellular immunity with special reference to monocytes of mice immunized with live vaccine of Salmonella enteritidis.

The mice which had been immunized with highly virulent live S. enteritidis acquired a strong immunity against the bacilli and could perfectly survive a challenge with intravenous injection of a highly virulent strain S. enteritidis 116 54 in a dose of 1,000 •~ MLD. The sera of the mice contained 0 and H antibodies but no demonstrable factor to prevent death due to infection. However, large mono...

Attenuated Salmonella enteritidis E23 as a vehicle for the rectal delivery of DNA vaccine coding for HIV‐1 polyepitope CTL immunogen

This study is focusing on elucidation of the capacity of attenuated Salmonella enteritidis E23 (cya, crp) to serve as a vehicle for the rectal delivery of the DNA vaccine. Earlier for creation HIV-1 candidate DNA vaccine we have designed the polyepitope protein TCI (T-cell immunogen), which comprises over 80 CTL epitopes from subtype A, B and C HIV-1 proteins. The gene coding for TCI protein wa...
